ADOPTING FROM CAT HOUSE

What you need to know

ADOPTION FEE:  $80, for all cats and kittens

All kittens/cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption

Because they must be spayed/neutered, we cannot adopt out any kittens younger than 3-4 months old

All kittens/cats come with the following treatments:

  • Vaccinated against rabies and distemper

  • Tested for and vaccinated against Feline Leukemia

  • Tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)

  • Treated for parasites (fleas, roundworms, tapeworms, ear mites)

  • Spayed or neutered

Any cat or kitten may be placed “on hold” with a submitted adoption application, and this hold will be valid until the application is reviewed

We require an approved adoption application prior to taking a cat home. Our goal is to give cats a loving home as quickly as possible, but for their wellbeing, we require a formal application prior to adopting. Then, we perform a background check.

The consultation process helps us determine if the adoption is in the cat’s best interest and to assist you in finding a cat most compatible with your lifestyle. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Your cool cat is worth the wait

SENIOR CAT AND MEDICAL NEEDS ADOPTION

Golden Hearts Program

We can all agree– every cat deserves care and love into their golden years. But, did you know that senor cats, which we call Golden Hearts, also often make the best companions? They come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities, but often are the perfect blend of independent and snuggly that we all crave in a 4-legged companion.

The adoption fee for Golden Heart cats is waived, and they come with following treatments:

  • Spayed/neutered

  • Vaccinated: rabies, feline distemper, and feline leukemia

  • Cat House will cover the cat’s annual exam and vaccinations for 2 years following the date of adoption

Is a Golden Heart cat the right fit for you? The ideal home for a Golden Heart cat would be:

  • On the quiet side

  • Gentle voices

  • Low-key animal friends

  • Indoor environments

Success Stories

GOLDEN HEART

Adopted in Feb 2022 at 13 years old

MEET BELLA

“She’s an old soul that has a lot of stories to tell. When you peel away those hard pieces and get to the soft center, it is so worth it to make her life the best it can be.

She’s the queen of this house, and that’s the way it was meant to be. She also has a beautiful way to show her love back, and she tells me in so many different ways how much she loves me every day”

MEET PIXIE

“The transformation she has made is truly the most rewarding feeling. We are happy to have experienced with Ms. Pixie and hope others will consider adoption and experience this fun bonding process!"

MEET Chester

“Chester is the most loving cat. Every time we walk in the door he is sitting there greeting us and talking to us. He loves to get cuddles, make biscuits, and play with his toys. He also decides that right when it’s time for bed, it is time to run around the house and slide all over on the rugs.”
